Our thanks go out to the over 3,500 community members who attended this year's event, the numerous local farmers and chefs who donated their products and time, and to the many volunteers who helped the event happen. We raised over $25,000 toward the Pavilion campaign, and look forward to an even better event next year.

6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
On-site at the Columbia Farmers Market
$5 entry, children 12 & under free
Come explore the freshest, tastiest food in mid-Missouri at this memorable event. Top chefs from Columbia will prepare culinary treats using fresh, local foods from the Columbia Farmers Market. There will be live music, wine sampling, entertainment for the children and an outdoor, big screen movie. Proceeds from the event benefit the Columbia Farmers Market Pavilion Campaign.
Many fine restaurants, chefs, and farms will be preparing fresh samples of food that reflect the diverse taste of mid-Missouri farms in summer. Ingredients will be sourced from vendors at the Columbia Farmers Market and prepared that day. In addition, adults may partake in wine tasting from Missouri wineries. All food and wine samples are free upon entry.
Help Us Be Sustainable
Consider bringing your own plates and utensils, and a folding chair.
Live music will be provided throughout the evening by Ironweed Bluegrass Band and The Northwoods. Representatives of the Pavilion Campaign and the Columbia Farmers Market will be on hand to answer questions about the Pavilion and collect donations. Many local farmers will be on hand as well. Events and activities for children are planned. As dark falls, settle in for a live outdoor screening of a film to be announced soon.
History of the Event

Last year, more than 2,000 people attended the inaugural Taste of the Market event, which kicked off the Pavilion Campaign. Visitors wandered through a full-scale outline of the proposed pavilion while enjoying fresh food samples prepared by local chefs from local ingredients. The beautiful evening ended with a screening of the documentary "Tableland".
